Acne
Acne is an inflammatory condition that is considered chronic with many factors present. Approximately 10% of the world suffer from acne at any one time. Acne is categorised into multiple grades from very mild to very severe. Symptoms can consist of papules, pustules, comedones, nodules, erythema and odema. Acne stems from the pilosebaceous follicle and can be linked to changes in hormones.
Lesions can typically occur on the face, chest and upper back. Acne can occur from over production of sebum, this can be related and a result from androgen hormones and sensitivity in the sebaceous glands to androgen hormones. Other forms of acne occurring can be abnormal shedding of follicular epithelium, inflammation, c. acnes (cutibacerium acnes) follicular colonization. Inflammatory is activated throughout all stages of the progression of acne.

Chemical Peels
Customised chemical peel to suit your skin concern and skin type. Chemical peels are a deeper form of exfoliation that stimulate cell turnover and encourage heathy growth of new skin cells. Chemical peels can target acne, fine lines and wrinkles, pigmentation, thickened sun damaged skin and overall exfoliation of dead skin cells.

LED Therapy
This science backed medical grade device targets the powerhouse of cells, the mitochondria. Energising them and creating energy rich compounds that drives fundamental cell functions. LED therapy has been proven to promote wound healing in the skin and reduce inflammation in shorter time frames compared to regular healing. Making it perfect addition to any treatment or skin wound. Also creating adenosine triphosphate (ATP) production which leads to healthy skin cells and the production of collagen and elastin. Utilising multiple different wavelengths, this treatment can be customised to target the specific layer of the skin to address your specific concern.

Laser for acne
Laser treatments are a great addition in helping to reduce acne. The active acne procedure improves the appearance of inflammatory acne by inducing photo thermal effects from laser energy. Through repeated laser treatment of the areas surrounding the acne lesions, the photo thermal effects induced by the laser energy penetrate deep into the dermis to inhibit sebaceous gland production and cutibacterium acnes (C.acnes) activity.
